Biography

While being fifth generation dancer in her family, Carolé A. is an international Flamenco/Spanish Classical, Modern, Modenco™ Dance Artist, Comedienne, Actress, Model, and Writer . Carolé A. made her professional dance debut with Rosa Montoya's Bailes Flamencos at the age of 15 and was promoted to Assistant Choreographer/Principal Dancer with Carolina Lugo's Brisas de España four years later. One of the most prominent dancers in today's dance scene, her dance style can be described as edgy, lithe, forceful with controlled yet off centered movements, a world of expression, and tons of energy. She is Principle Dancer with Brisas de España as well as a Free Lance Guest Artist with other Companies, such as Yaelisa's Caminos Flamencos, Casuela Flamenca, Flamenco Society, A Band Of Gypsies, and more. She collaborated and starred in a Flamenco-Argentine tango choreographic works with Pampa Cortez of Forever Tango, a Flamenco-Brazilian Samba piece with Katia Vaz, the 9 year winner of Carnival in Brazil, a Hip Hop-Flamenco Showcase with Ricardo Garcia, and a Modern Dance-Flamenco collaboration with Antonio Vargas of Mission Impossible II & Strictly Ballroom. She has toured throughout the United States, Spain, and China with numerous Symphonies as a soloist and also toured internationally with Brisas de España. In 2007, she made it to the top 40 dancers in the Los Angeles audition of So You Think You Can Dance with her intentionally traditional Flamenco choreography and was the only "ethnic" dancer that made it to that point.

Carolé A. has performed in concert with other notable Flamenco artists such as the Miño Family (Pepa Montes, Ricardo Miño, Pedro Ricardo Miño), Ricardo Garcia, Jesus Herrera, Jesus Montoya, Gino D'Auri, Manuel Betanzos, Antonio Vargas, and Juan Talavera, to mention a few. She has been the protégé of Pepa Montes of Seville, Spain since 2003.

Although Carolé A.'s Stand-Up Comedy career is new and fresh. She has been a natural at it since grade school. While being called rubber face, she was nominated as the Class Clown on different occasions and still managed to be the teacher's pet.

Much of her subject matter encompasses her Spanish/Chicana/mixed heritage, dancing, dating, and Narwhals. She has performed Stand-up comedy on the East and West Coast of the United States and also in Seville, Spain! She is very animated, expressive, physical and has an original comedic style.
